1945 kam die gebürtige Ägypterin Gaby Aghion nach Paris.

Sie gründete ihre Firma mit sage & schreibe nur 6 Kleidern aus Baumwollpopeline.

Doch aus bescheidenen Baumwollkapseln wachsen große Modeeichen.(Elle)

Die bekanntesten Chefdesigner waren von

1963 - 1983 Karl Lagerfeld

1993 - 1997 Karl Lagerfeld &

1997 - 2001 Stella McCartney, Tochtes des gleichnamigen Beatles Paul McCartney.

Heute gehört die Firma zur Richemont Group.
